Jerry Crabtree, 93

Jerome Alan “Jerry” Crabtree, age 93, of Mendon, died on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Safe Haven Assisted Living in Hastings. He was born in Mendon on June 11, 1930 the son of Sheridan L. and Marjorie R. (Kirby) Crabtree, and was a member of the Mendon High School Class of 1948. Jerry was the proprietor of Crabtree Realty and Crabtree Builders for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors and loved to fish.

Jerry was first married to Mary Phyllis Burkett. They were later divorced, and she passed away in October of 2022. He was married to Janet Anderson in 1979, and she passed away in 2005.

Jerry is survived by three children, Ramona Schuring, Ronald (Kim) Crabtree, and Russell (Iris) Crabtree; five grandchildren, Kirstie Conklin, Chad Crabtree, Joshua Crabtree, Sabrina LaFountain, and Jerome C. Crabtree; four great-grandchildren, Davin LaFountain, Byliegh Crabtree, Elizabeth Conklin, and Sophia Conklin; brothers, Joel Crabtree, Jay (Linda) Crabtree, and Jean (Jane) Crabtree. He was preceded in death by his son, Reese Crabtree; his parents; sister, Esther Murfin; and brothers, James, and Jon Crabtree.
