Maude Denny, 82

Maude L Denny, age 82, of Constantine, died on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Edgewood Health and Rehab in Three Rivers. She was born December 9, 1941 in South Bend, a daughter of Donald and Esther (Fairbanks) Fink. Maude graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend. On June 13, 1973 she married Edwin G. Denny, Jr., in Anderson, IN. He preceded her in death April 25, 2002.

Maude worked as a book keeper and secretary for several organizations including Jordan Ford in South Bend, First National Bank of Constantine and Mottville, Bainbridge Enterprises in Marcellus, Kirsch Company in Sturgis, and she retired from the Commission On Aging in 2006.

She was a lifetime member of Constantine American Legion Post 223 Auxilliary, member of Silver Sneakers at Health TRAC in Three Rivers, Quilting Club in Three Rivers, Widows Club of Constantine, and Restoration Church in Constantine. Maude enjoyed Bingo, having run Bingo Night at the Legion for many years.

Surviving are her son John (Linda) Perkins; step son Edwin (Eileen) Denny; grandchildren Jodi (Randall) Wood, John (Michelle Hutchins) Perkins II, Michelle (Jeff) Denny Geske; great grandchildren Angel Jane Kahler, Emmalin Marie-Kay Kahler, Chelsea Louise Kahler, Temperance Lucille-Kahler, Anabell Rose Maher, Ian Scott Erb, Harlee Quinn-Nicole Erb; step great grandchildren Randy (Destiny) Jr, Cheyenne, Zowie, Skyla and Aleeyah; step great great grandchildren Carter, Anna, Tyler, James and Percy; sister Darlene (Steven) Coquillard Seevers; nieces and nephew Angela Fann, Rebecca Meyers and Jason Seevers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Relatives and friends will be received Friday, January 5th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine, where religious services will be held Saturday, January 6th, at 11 am.  Pastor Jamey Smith, Restoration Church, Constantine, will officiate. Interment will be in the Constantine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph County Animal Control. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
