Police investigate shooting incident

State police in Michigan and Indiana are continuing to investigate an incident earlier this month involving a Colon man who allegedly fired multiple shots outside a residence in LaGrange County.

Gregory Kurzawski is charged with attempted murder, criminal recklessness with a firearm, intimidation, armed robbery, possession of cocaine, dealing with a firearm and criminal mischief.

The case started around 5 p.m. Jan. 17, when a van driven by Kurzawski entered a private driveway. Kurzawski allegedly fired several shots from an AR-style weapon as the homeowner, had stepped outside.

Kurzawski left the vicinity but was eventually taken into custody following a commotion outside the Howe General Dollar store.

Police say there is no known connection between Kurzawski and the original victim.
