Rex Paul Thornburgh, age 72, of Sturgis, passed away Friday evening, January 19, 2023 at his home.
He was born May 12, 1951 in Muncie, Indiana son of the late Lloyd and Katherine (Inman) Thornburgh.
Rex resided in Sturgis for the past 52 years coming from Muncie.
On January 2, 1972 he married Linda Schwartz in Centreville (Wasepi).
Rex owned and operated Inman’s Garage in Howe, Indiana until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife: Linda; his children: Rex Shane (Cynthia) Thornburgh of San Ramon, California, Shannon (James) Brown, III and Staci Stahly both of Sturgis; 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and brother: Bruce (Patty) Thornburgh of Michigan.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place.
