Todd Raymond Zimont concluded his short, brave battle with cancer early Saturday morning, January 13, 2024, with his wife and two daughters by his side. Todd was born May 14, 1960 in Kalamazoo. He was a 1978 graduate of Constantine High School and attended Western Michigan University, Glen Oaks Community College, and earned his Vet.Tech degree from Brown Mackie College.
A life-long resident of Constantine, Todd worked for Owens-Illinois, RexAm, and American Axle. Todd was an avid music lover; his knowledge of artists and songs across most genres was astonishing. Nature and animals alike refreshed his soul. Todd was the kindest of humans, a loyal and true friend, and a dedicated U of M Football fan.
Surviving are the love of his life wife Sharon Zimont of Jones, son Michael (Rycca) Giles of San Diego, daughters Amanda Giles of Grand Rapids, and Courtney (Vito) Saracino of St. Clair Shores, MI, mother Joelen Zimont, sister Cathy Zimont both of Constantine, brothers Jeff (Peggy) Zimont of Elkhart, and Ben (Kathy) Zimont of Kalamazoo. Nieces Allison (Jordan) Werner of Denver, Megan Zimont of Milwaukee, nephews Ryan (Taryn) Zimont of Lynchburg, VA, Adam (April) Zimont of Portage, MI, and several great nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Karen (Lee) Sherer of Edwardsburg and Kathleen Buchmann of Ann Arbor. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Zimont, M.D and acquired brother George Shoun.
Friends can offer their condolences to the family at visitation on Thursday, January 18, from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. A celebration of Todd’s life will be Friday, January 19, at 2:00 at the Constantine United Methodist Church. Burial to follow in the Constantine Township Cemetery.
