Debra Gill, 55

Debra Ann Gill, age 55, of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, January 31, 2024 at her home.

She was born September 12, 1968 in LaGrange, daughter of John Samuel and Nancy Ann (Weber) Gill.

Debra resided in Sturgis since 1972, coming from Wolcottville, Indiana.

She had been employed by Wendy’s and Arby’s Restaurants both in Sturgis, and K-Mart in Sturgis and Three Rivers.

Debbie enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans, scarves, and hats.

She is survived by her mother: Nancy Ann Gill of Sturgis; brother: Kirk Gill of Sturgis; aunts: Doris (Steve) Likes of Albion, Indiana, Jerrie Witham of Rome City, Indiana and Sandy Witham of LaGrange, Indiana and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; sister: Jessie Lee Gill; niece: Katie Lee Alexander and nephew: Michael Alexander.

In accordance with family wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00, Tuesday, February 6th at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis.
