Dessie Clerece Wyatt, age 68, of Burr Oak, passed away early Monday evening, February 5, 2024 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born May 7, 1955 in Sturgis, daughter of the late Charles and Dessie (Keith) Krontz.
Dessie resided in Burr Oak since 1973 and graduated from Sturgis Public Schools Adult Education Program in 1973.
On October 27, 1973 she married Floyd Wyatt in Burr Oak. He preceded her in death.
She had been employed at the Gas House in Burr Oak, and Goodwill store in Sturgis, and was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother.
Dessie enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dessie was a lover of the television shows True Crime and Big Brother.
She is survived by her daughters: Stacey Wyatt and her daughter: Lexie (Katie) Wyatt and Misty (Justin) Ledyard and her children: Brayden, Kaynen, Amy, Makayla and Emily; Dessies siblings: Charles “Dit” Krontz his children: Tricia, Melissa, Richard, Kerri and Joshua, Earl “Gene” (Barb) Ktontz their children: Eric and Terry, Dixie (Ivan) Barkman, their daughter: Nichole Reaper, and Vicky (Daryll) Currier, their children: Sara, Kara and Adam.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and mother-in-law: Kathleen Wyatt; brothers: Floyd “Bud” Krontz and Victor “Buzzy” Krontz; sister-in-law: Cindy Krontz and Nephews: Timothy Reaper and Shawn Reaper.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Dessie Clerece Wyatt will be held at 1:00 Saturday, February 17th at Howe United Methodist Church, 511 Third St. in Howe, Indiana. The Rev. Gregory Waggner will officiate. A continued time of fellowship and the sharing of a meal will follow the service at Eagles Lodge #1314, 1207 W. Chicago Rd. in Sturgis. Private burial of the remains will take place at Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak at a later date.
