Diana Elaine Speicher, age 81, of LaGrange, died peacefully at home on Monday, February 12, 2024.
She was born on August 24, 1942, in Sturgis to Devear and Violet (Ringler) Wood.
Diana married Howard L. Speicher on June 19, 1961, in Valentine, IN.
She worked as a nurse’s aide from 1970-1997 at the LaGrange Hospital.
Family was the most important thing to Diana. She had a big heart for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She really enjoyed spending time with them and reminiscing. Diana was also a well-loved friend and neighbor of the Amish Community. She enjoyed doing puzzles, tending to her plants, and all the simple things in life.
Surviving are her children, Tony Speicher of Wellston, Michigan, Ginger (Max) Lang of LaGrange, Sid Speicher of LaGrange and Jeannie (Doff) Fugate of LaGrange; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy (John) Purcell of Sturgis, and Carolyn (James) Mellinger of Angola; and her special dog, Kizzy.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Howard, who died February 17, 2017.
According to her wishes cremation is taking place and there will be no services at this time.
