George Sampley, age 81, of Three Rivers, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 11, 2024. George was born June 25, 1942, in Jackson County, Alabama. George attended Kalamazoo Central High School. He married his beloved wife of 62 years, Karen Frick of Portage. He retired from Local 7 Sheet Metal Workers Union. Karen & George spent time traveling, boating, and socializing with their numerous friends at local watering holes.
George loved riding on his beloved motorcycle, spending time with his family, Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren. He enjoyed hanging out at the Eagles Club and the American Legion Post 475 in Schoolcraft.
He is survived by his Wife, Karen Sampley; Sister, Ann Bray; Daughter, Julie Leslie; Sons, Scott (Patti) Sampley; Greg (Andee) Sampley; and Multiple Grand and Great-Grand Children.
He was preceded in death by his father George Sampley, his mother Cora, his sister Vivian Weller and brother William “Hayden” Sampley
A celebration of George’s life will be held later this spring when the Snowbirds arrive back home.
