Matthew J. Yoder, age 49, of Mendon, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
Matthew was born on November 14, 1974, in Sturgis, a son to Orlis and Marietta (Lehman) Yoder.
On May 18, 2000, Matthew married Rosellen F. Bontrager at their now home in Mendon.
Surviving Matthew is his wife: Rosellen F. Yoder of Mendon, children: Adam Yoder, Josiah Yoder, Rosetta Yoder, and Jonathan Yoder all at home, parents Orlis and Maietta Yoder of Mendon, siblings: Ruth (Marvin Jr.) Yoder of Colon, Martha (Homer) Hochstetler of Burr Oak, and Stephen (Lita) Yoder of Colon, mother and father in law John and Rosemary Bontrager of Mendon, and 27 nieces and nephews.
Preceding Matthew in death are his grandparents: Virgil and Magdalena Yoder, Edward and Celesta Lehman, brothers in law: Vernon Yoder, and James Bontrager, and nephew: Jason Lee Bontrager.
The Yoder family will receive friends and relatives at the CYC Building: 59321 Nottawa Road, Centreville, on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 2 to 8 PM and on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 10 AM to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the CYC building on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 9:30 AM with Home Ministers officiating. Interment will take place at Old Order Amish Cemetery in Centreville.
