Richard D. Rauh, age 87, of Leonidas, passed away at his home in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 15, 2024.
Richard was born on July 27, 1936, in Hudson, Indiana, a son to the late Herbert A. and Ruth P. (Loucks) Rauh. Richard lived his entire life in Leonidas.
On February 7, 1959, Richard married the love of his life Lorena J. Dunn at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Colon. Lorena preceded Richard in death on October 28, 2008.
Richard worked for more than 40 years for Reith-N-Riley as an operator. He also worked for Mendon Seed Growers. Richard enjoyed spending time on the farm, cutting wood, and having parties with friends.
Surviving Richard is his daughter Kim Rauh of Leonidas, 2 granddaughters: Adrienne (Gage) Sturgill, and Abby (Logan Marshall) Bruystens, nephew Carl and Kim Shellenberger and family, and niece Deb Wolf and family.
Besides his parents Herbert and Ruth Rauh, Richard was preceded in death by his wife Lorena J. Rauh, and 2 sisters: Phyllis Vaughn and Doris Shellenberger.
Following in Richards wish’s cremation has taken place. A memorial luncheon will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be directed to the Rauh family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
