Alma Casselman, 80

Alma M Casselman, age 80, of White Pigeon Township, died on Friday, March 8, 2024 at her home. She was born May 5, 1943 in Cassopolis, a daughter of Clair and Leona (Shaner) Akin. Alma worked as a waitress at Kenny’s Restaurant in White Pigeon, Nibco in Elkhart and finally at D&S Market in Constantine. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially sunbathing, riding motorcycles, and mowing her yard.

Surviving are her children Penny Overton, Stephanie Casselman, Michelle Casselman and Zacharia Casselman, grandchildren Troy Wyatt, April VanAken, Jamie VanAken, Todd Casselman Jr, Aaron Overton, Brigette Smith and Ambrelee Overton, many great grandchildren, sister Lucille Konanz, brothers Edward Akin and Jim Akin, several nieces and nephews.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, sons Jerry D Casselman and Todd A Casselman Sr, grandson James VanAken Jr, and siblings Lavern Akin, Paul Akin, Geraldine Anglemyer, Ethel Canen, Clara Burkey and Hazel Anglemyer.

Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 12 to 1 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. A memorial service will begin at 1 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Gerald Casselman officiating. Interment of ashes will be at Constantine Township Cemetery at a later date.The family welcomes flowers at the funeral home.
