Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport Director Craig Williams said American Airlines has announced the addition of a third flight departing and arriving daily, starting April 4.
The destination is Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
The Texas-based company currently has two departures and three inbound flights daily. One departure is early morning while the other is late afternoon. The new flight will have a midday departure, airport officials said.
American has previously flown three routes daily from Kalamazoo to Chicago, but reduced the frequency to two starting last fall.
Between American, Delta and Avelo, AZO features flights to Chicago, Detroit and Orlando.
