Linda Sue Crabtree, age 74, of Three Rivers, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Ascension Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born on January 11, 1950 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth (Dokey) Woods.
Linda attended Mendon High School and was a part of the 1968 graduating class. On July 11, 1970 she married Jay Crabtree at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon. In her free time, Linda enjoyed gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers. She enjoyed arts and crafts, often creating homemade greeting cards. Linda was known for her knitting and crocheting skills which she tried to hand down to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her books, particularly romance novels. When you saw Linda, you would often see her sparkly attire often accompanied by her matching sparkly accessories. She was a loving person who genuinely cared for others. Most importantly, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jay; two children, Holly (Scott) Clupper and Heather (John) Riley; five grandchildren, Alex (Janie) Poff, Kerrigan Gage, Beryl Gage, Chase Clupper, and Travis Clupper; one sister, Deborah (Frank) Cerny. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Elizabeth Woods; sisters, Pamela Dare and Sandra Dentler; brothers, Rick Woods, Fred Woods, Joe Woods, and Bill Woods.
In keeping with family wishes, cremation is being conducted. A private ceremony with take place at a later date. It is suggested that memorials made in Linda’s name be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences and memories may be expressed to the family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
