TR student wins logo-design contest

A Glen Oaks Community College student has won a logo-design contest as part of an effort to rebrand the St. Joseph County Adult Education program.

Jalisa Pope is the winner of the contest to brand the adult education program as it transitions into a consortium.

Pope, a high school junior from Three Rivers, captured the essence of the adult education program’s mission with her innovative design incorporating a compass, symbolizing guidance and direction for adult learners, college officials said.

Her logo was selected for its creative embodiment of the program’s goals and will be prominently featured on the St. Joseph County Adult Education website and marketing materials, officials said.

For her efforts, Pope received a T-shirt featuring her design and a $100 gift card. The design is already in use on the St. Joseph County Adult Education website.
