Verdict reached in trial of former township supervisor

Fabius Township’s former supervisor was found guilty last week of sexual assault.

Kenneth Linn, 57, was previously charged with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct for assaulting a Sauganash Country Club golf cart beverage cart driver in August 2010, according to Attorney General Dana Nessel and Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting.

According to WWMT News Channel 3, Linn’s attorney argued there were inconsistencies within the DNA, saying it wasn’t consistent with Linn’s and could have included DNA from more than one person.

The 12-member jury reached its verdict after five days of testimony and two days of deliberations.

Linn is expected to be sentenced April 16.
