A group of volunteers has begun piecing together the 2024 Three Rivers Water Festival.
The annual event, St. Joseph County’s first community festival of the year, begins its three-day run June 13.
After considering several options, Water Festival Committee members selected the theme “TR Goes for the Gold” for this year’s event. The theme coincides with the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
Participants in the opening-night parade are encouraged to come up with creative entries to display in the procession.
The 67th Water Festival will feature many returning favorites, including the annual kick-off parade, Kids Zone, the downtown car show, a 5K/1-mile fun run, the arts and crafts show in Scidmore Park, food vendors, live music and the event-ending fireworks display.
Two new features this year are a “Silent Disco,” sponsored by Riverside Church and the addition of judging of parade participants.
Updates are available at the Three Rivers Water Festival Facebook page, as well as online at trchamber.com.
