Woman injured in Cass County crash

A White Pigeon woman was injured as the result of a two-vehicle crash earlier this week in Cass County’s Porter Township.

Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called around 3 p.m. Tuesday to the intersection of U.S. 12 and Baldwin Prairie Road in response to a personal-injury crash.

Investigators said a vehicle driven by Elkhart resident Gregory Donley was traveling east on U.S. 12 when his vehicle struck another vehicle driven by White Pigeon resident Jennifer Irions.

Authorities said Irions attempted to cross U.S. 12 while southbound on Baldwin Prairie Road when the collision occurred.

Irions was treated at Elkhart General Hospital. No information was provided about Donley.
