Elizabeth “Betty” Mary Watson, age 76, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Three Rivers Heath.
She was born in Chicago on February 19, 1948, a daughter of John and Virginia (Collopy) Finn.
Betty married Ulysses “Steve” Watson in Three Rivers in August 1966.
Betty worked as a hairdresser in various shops. Betty could be defined as feisty. She had a great love of all animals, instilled in her by her father. In her younger years, she could be found taking a country ride with the windows down, playing board games, fishing, and enjoying a cold beer. Later in life she would be feeding the birds, working in the yard, and spending time with her cats. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.
She is survived by children: Cindell Stewart (Travis Johnson) of Goshen, Sue Watson of Port Huron, and Mary (James) Matthews of Three Rivers; Grandchildren: Courtney Stewart (Amber Beck), Kyle and Jacob Watson, Corey, Alexis, Josephine and Gabrielle Matthews; Aunt Mercedes Beebe of Mendon; several cousins.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and Steve Watson.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside service on May 11, 2024, at 11:00AM at Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers.
