Betty Nihart, 90

Betty Jane Nihart, age 90, of White Pigeon, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis. She was born on November 18, 1933 in White Pigeon, the Daughter of Leland K and Katherine J (Rudloff) Airgood.

She lived all of her life in White Pigeon, was a graduate of White Pigeon High School,  and a member of The First Presbyterian Church and Church deacon. She was employed By White Pigeon Schools for over 30 years, involved in school events, and a Library Board Member. Family and friends were most important to her.

Betty married Herbert D Nihart on October 5, 1952 in White Pigeon. He died on June 10, 2018. She is survived by her Sons: Rick (Wanda) Nihart, and Gary (Leslie) Nihart. Five Grandchildren Several Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in Death by Her Parents, Husband Son Michael A Nihart and Brother Kenneth Airgood.

Visitation was held on Friday at the Farrand Funeral Home of White Pigeon where Services were held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 with Rev Steve Kaszar Officiating, Interment in White Pigeon Township Cemetery. Donations to the White Pigeon Township Library.
