Beverly L. King, age 66, of Muskegon, passed away at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital on Monday, April 29, 2024. She was born on May 1, 1957 in Chicago, a daughter of Eugene and Shirley (Woulard) Haslerig Jr. She graduated from Tilden High School in Chicago.
Beverly worked in Chicago as a Restaurant Cook, and in housekeeping at the Hilton Hotel. She was also an Avon sales representative. Beverly loved music, cooking and dancing, watching her favorite TV shows, and taking care of her plants.
Surviving Beverly are her daughters Latrice King, Muskegon, Cherly (Larry Hunter) King, South Bend, IN; son Jamar King, Sturgis; daughter Latonia Haslerig; 19 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers Arzell and Zell; sisters Diane, Brenda, Glenise and Kimberly, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Anthony King; brothers Willie Hathorne, Jr. and Gene Kaufman.
Relatives and friends will be received Thursday, May 9th from 5 to 7 PM at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious services will be held Friday May 10th at 11 AM at the funeral home, with Pastor Jamey Smith, Restoration Church Constantine, officiating. Interment will follow in Constantine Cemetery.
