Mendon break-ins – Suspect identified

A suspect accused of breaking into two Mendon homes was identified Tuesday, according to the Mendon Police Department.

WWMT is reporting that although the suspect’s name is not being disclosed due to an active investigation, the 46-year-old Three Rivers man allegedly broke into a home on East Main Street around 3:30 a.m. Monday.

He ran away, however, before deputies arrived. Sheriff’s officials said prior to the 3:30 a.m. break in, deputies were called to a home on Fletcher Street around 9 p.m. Sunday after a homeowner found signs that someone was in their house while they were away.

Five hours later, deputies were called to a home on East Main Street near East Street after it was reported that someone was attempting to break into the house, deputies said.
