Centreville superintendent rated highly effective

Centreville Public Schools Superintendent Chad Brady received a near-perfect score during his annual evaluation Monday.

Board of education president Rod Detweiler said Brady received a mark of 97 on a 100-point scale. The score put Brady at the “highly effective” level.

Brady was evaluated on a variety of categories: student achievement, educational leadership, budgeting and finance, community relations, leadership and staff interaction.

Brady became the district’s interim superintendent in February 2022 and was awarded the job permanently four months later. He signed a three-year contract, which expires in June 2025.

The 47-year-old Brady is due to receive a salary of $132,612 during the upcoming academic year.

Brady said he appreciates the board’s confidence and trust. He said the high score is more a reflection of the 891-student district.
