Charles (Chuck) Bowers, 75

Charles (Chuck) E. Bowers, age 75, of Three Rivers (formerly of Marcellus), passed away on Wednesay, June 5, 2024, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

He was born on April 16, 1949, to the late Richard and Frances (Harding) Bowers. Chuck was a 1967 graduate of Marcellus High School and was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He was a former member of the VFW Post 4054 Men’s Auxiliary, and current member of the Schoolcraft American Legion Post 475, the Eagles of Three Rivers, and served many years on the Marcellus Fire Department.

Surviving Chuck are his daughter Shayne Bowers of Marcellus, step-children Bobby Daugherty of Marcellus and Kathy Phillips of Three Rivers; sister Betty Lamons of Three Rivers; special friend Mary Lunsford of Three Rivers; granddaughter Taylor Bowers of Winter Haven, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Brett Bowers.

In keeping with Chuck’s wishes, cremation has taken place with graveside and military services to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Marcellus Bly Cemetery, with a luncheon following at the Marcellus VFW Post #4054 at 12:00 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the Marcellus Fire Department.
