Michael R. Shook, age 70, of White Pigeon, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Three Rivers Health .
He was born May 22, 1954, in Ludington, son of the late John and Pauline (Walls) Shook.
Mike resided nearly his whole life in White Pigeon. On February 21, 1996, he married Penny Galanda in Centreville.
Mike had been employed by several area trailer manufacturing companies. He also was an escort driver for oversized loads and a talented mechanic working on cars, race cars, semi diesel engines, and tanks.
He had a passion for fishing and was usually tinkering on some kind of a mechanical project.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 28 years: Penny; children: Michael Ray (Liz) Shook of Sturgis, John Shook of Three Rivers, and Dwayne (Sandy) Shook of White Pigeon; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including a special niece: Jennifer Thieme of Sturgis and his dog: Tyra.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091 is entrusted with the arrangements.
