A Niles woman was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash last week in Cass County’s Jefferson Township.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were notified shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday about a personal-injury crash in the area of Dailey Road and Pine Lake Street.
Investigators determined that 17-year-old Tre Willard of Edwardsburg was driving north on Dailey Road. Meanwhile, 83-year-old Niles resident Karolyn Young was driving east on Pine Lake Street and failed to yield when crossing the intersection.
The vehicle she was driving collided with Willard’s vehicle.
Young was treated at Saint Joseph Mishawaka Medical Center. Willard did not require hospitalization, authorities said.
