The Sturgis splash pad, located between Thurston Woods Park and the Doyle Community Center, marks its inaugural season following a ceremonial ribbon cutting and grand opening Thursday.
Municipal officials and other local dignitaries were on hand for the occasion.
The splash pad had its soft opening in mid-May.
The pad, constructed at a cost of about $160,000, is laid out over an area of 2,500 square feet and features more than 20 water elements suitable for people of all ages, from toddlers to adults.
