Ann Arnold, 81

Willa Ann Arnold, age 81, of Vicksburg, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Laurels of Galesburg following a brief illness.  She was born in Sturgis on April 4, 1943 the daughter of William and Wanda (Deal) Wagner.  Ann attended Sturgis High School and was part of the 1961 graduating class.  Following high school, she would go on and obtain her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University.  On June 29, 1968 she married the love of her life, Robert Arnold in Sturgis.  Ann was a busy woman who also enjoyed the simple things in life.  Working hard and tending to her garden full of flowers and produce, then have to watch the local rabbits enjoy the fruits of her labor.  Ann enjoyed puzzles and listening to gospel, oldies, and rhythm and blues.  She loved the outdoors, whether it was walking the dogs, doing yard work, or taking the gator around for a spin, she loved nature.  Ann enjoyed taking shopping trips with her family and friends, which often lead to a lunch filled with laughter.  Most importantly, Ann loved her family, especially if they went for a cruise in the Corvette.

Ann is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Bob; a daughter Gretchen (Brandon) Doran; a son Todd (Colleen) Arnold; two grandchildren; a brother James Wagner; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Wagner.

In keeping with family wishes cremation is being conducted.  Burial for Ann will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery (15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, MI 49012) on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 9:30am.  Following the brief ceremony, a luncheon and celebration of Ann’s life will be held at Center Park United Methodist Church (18662 Moorepark Road, Three Rivers, MI 49093) at 12 Noon.  Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
