Body found in Three Rivers

Medical examiner officials at Western Michigan University are attempting to learn more about a body found last week at a location in Three Rivers.

According to Three Rivers Police Chief Scott Boling, officers responded shortly after 6 a.m. Friday to the 200 block of Middle Street in response to a deceased subject found behind a residence.

Officers confirmed the subject was beyond medical care. Due to the circumstances surrounding the incident, the St. Joseph Major Crime Task Force was activated and responded to the scene.

Boling said the body was transported to WMed for identification and examination.
