Bonnie Jean Reames, age 90, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Edgewood Health & Rehabilitation in Three Rivers.
She was born December 24, 1933 in Schoolcraft, the daughter of Cornelius and Miram (Stiver) Michielson.
On October 11, 1952 in Vicksburg, she married Leo C. Reames, whom she had met on a blind date. The couple farmed all their adult lives and enjoyed traveling.
Bonnie was a member of St. Catherine of Siena in Portage. She loved spending time outside, especially maintaining her lovely flower garden. She always enjoyed holidays, especially Christmas – the day after her birthday.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her sister, Lois Macintosh, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Reames in 2017; brother, Victor Michielson; sister, Betty Smith; brother-in-law, Dean Reames; sisters-in-law, Ruth Dieterman and Mary Boling.
In accordance with family wishes, cremation will be conducted; she will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd., Augusta, MI 49012, where services will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.
