Camp Eberhart close to fundraising goal

A long-term renovation project at Camp Eberhart in Fabius Township has started, as a fundraising effort nears its goal.

Renovations for Dave’s House started in early spring. For starters, the building’s roof was replaced, concrete was poured on the back patio to create ADA accessible and the indoor/outdoor fireplace has been replenished.

Camp officials said the fundraiser is less than $35,000 short of the $125,000 matching challenge to fully fund the project.

In 2023, Dave’s House hosted 25 campers during Astro Camp week, accommodated 900 campers for the Music and Drama program, and welcomed 800 campers for the Astronomy programs.

Donations can be made through a link online at Camp Eberhart’s website.
