Colon schools seeks input on strategic plan

Colon Community Schools is seeking resident input related to a five-year strategic plan.

Superintendent Rachel Kowalski said the survey will provide valuable input in helping guide the district through the 2027-28 academic year.

She said the district’s board of education in October 2022 implemented a strategic plan focusing on facilities and student learning, achievement and outcomes, human resources and team capacity, and financial resources and outcomes.

The plan was adopted in April 2023.

Kowalski said the district has made progress on all overachieving goals. Public input, however, is being sought as the plan enters its second year.

The survey can be found through a link on the school’s website. A printed copy is available at either school building. Input will be accepted through July 31.
