Glen Oaks expands nursing partnership

Glen Oaks Community College and Baker College have announced an expansion to their partnership in nursing programming.

A $1.8 million state grant will be used to help increase the number of Bachelor of Science degrees in nursing.

Glen Oaks officials said 130 students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing will receive $14,000 to cover the cost of tuition, books and essentials.

Fifty-one Glen Oaks alumni are currently enrolled in Baker’s nursing program. Another 44 have enrolled at Baker for the fall term.
