James Foster Pierce, age 76, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 11, 1948 in Three Rivers, the son of Arthur and Neva (Craw) Pierce, and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1966.
James married Lisa Tomsheck on April Fools Day, 1991. They met at Peterson Springs and continued working together for over 20 years. They enjoyed spending time together camping and going to various pool and bowling tournaments. Jim also enjoyed spending time at the Eagles and Moose Lodge where he became a Golden Eagle and a lifetime member.
Jim, or “Pops” as his grandkids called him, will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his ability to get a smile out of people by picking on them or jesting.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Lisa Pierce; son, Sean (Danielle) Stevenson; daughter, Sara (Jason) DeWitt; grandchildren, Wesley, Hunter, Rowan, Mackenzie, Claire, and Eleanor; brother, Charles “Chick” (Sally) Pierce; sister, Nancy Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Neva Pierce, and by two brothers, Lawrence “Bill” Pierce and Robert “Bob” Pierce.
A celebration of James’ life will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagles, 715 E. Hoffman St., Three Rivers. He will be laid to rest in Moorepark Cemetery.
