Randy Leonard, Sr., 59

Randy Loren Leonard, Sr., age 59, of Sturgis, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Promedica Coldwater Regional Hospital in Coldwater.

He was born October 16, 1964 in Sturgis, son of the late Richard Lee and Joyce Marie (Briggs) Leonard.

Randy resided in Bronson for the past two years, coming from Sturgis. His early life was lived in Nottawa and he was a graduate of Centreville High School with the class of 1983. He had also lived many years in Burr Oak.

On May 17, 1985, he married Lou Ellen Kyle in Burr Oak. She preceded him in death November 9, 2021.

Randy worked many years at Protective Coating Associates in Sturgis until health issues forced him to retire.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, corn hole, billiards and bowling and watching W.W.E. Wrestling. He was a loyal dedicated fan of the Detroit Tigers, Lions, and University of Michigan Wolverines.

Randy is survived by his sons: Rodney L. “Bubb” Leonard, Jr. of Bronson and Kyle (Kristina Clay) Leonard of Sturgis; daughters: Angie Patton of Burr Oak, Monica Julien of Sturgis, Desiree Patton of Mendon and Dawn Patton of Three Rivers; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; twin sister: Tammy (Joe) Harker of Sturgis and sister: Kim (Bill) Keller of Bronson; brother: Ken (Donisha) Leonard of Bronson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother: Rick Leonard.

In following Randy’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will begin at 2:00, Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Greenwald Park located on Roosevelt St. in Bronson.
