Shelly M. Scherer, age 68, of Coldwater, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 9, 2024, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born July 29, 1955, in Coldwater, daughter of Raymond and Mary (McNabb) Bauder.
Shelly resided most of her life in Sturgis.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed puzzles, watching soap operas, and loved time spent with her family.
She is survived by her daughters: Lisa Nagle Halsey of Howe, Indiana, Betty (Mark) Draper of Sturgis and Patricia Scherer of Burr Oak; sons: Raymond (Kayla) Scherer of Auxvasse, Missouri, Austin Bauder of Sturgis and Ralph (Alexis) Bauder of Coldwater; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; mother: Mary Bauder of Coldwater; brother: Steven Bauder of Coldwater and several nieces and nephews.
Shelly was preceded in death by her father and sister: Sandra.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00, Saturday, July 13th at Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis. In accordance with Shelly’s wishes cremation will follow the visitation. A private burial of the remains will take place at Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
