Barbara Ann Lewis, age 86, of Bronson, passed away at the North Woods Village in Kalamazoo on Friday, August 2, 2024.
Barbara was born on July 7, 1938, in Bronson, a daughter to the late Elwood and Juanita (Hartup) Lewis. Barbara graduated from Colon High School as a member of the class of 1956. She then earned a Bachelor and Master Degree in accounting and financial management from Western Michigan University. She worked as an IT Consultant and Data Manager for Pfizer retiring in 1992.
Surviving Barbara is her sister-in-law Barbara Lewis of Bronson, niece Darlene Barnhart, nephew Daryl (Ginny) Lewis, and several great and great great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Elwood and Juanita Lewis, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother L. Burdette Lewis.
The Lewis family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 10 to 11 AM at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 following the visitation. Interment will follow in Matteson Cemetery.
