Glenn Dale Fisher, age 81, of Sturgis, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 24, 2024, at Promedica Coldwater Regional Hospital, in Coldwater.
He was born October 3, 1942, in Niles, son of the late Harvey Leroy and Evelyn Eunice (Burch) Fisher.
Glenn resided in Sturgis for the past 52 years coming from Niles, where he was a graduate of Niles High School with the class of 1960.
On June 12, 1971, he married Victoria Hannah Anderson Northage at the Portage Chapel in South Bend.
He retired from the Indiana Toll Road where he was involved with Standard Oil/Amaco. Following his retirement he worked for Pioneer Seed Corn in Constantine.
Glenn took great pride in serving his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War with the 11th Air Assault Transport Division earning the rank of Corporal.
In his youth he was a member of F-H and enjoyed watching baseball and had a love of hunting, especially deer hunting and pheasant hunting.
He is survived by his wife: Victoria; sons: Dale Fisher of Buchanan and Christopher Fisher of Durango, Mexico; seven grandchildren; brother: Henry Warren Fisher of Lawrenceville, Georgia and two nephews.
In honoring Glenn’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Glenn Fisher will be held at 1:00 on Sunday, September 29th at Nottawa United Methodist Church, 25838 M-86, Nottawa. The Rev. Sandy Miller will officiate.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
