Great Start brings back parenting series

Great Start Collaboration of St. Joseph County, in conjunction with St. Joseph County United Way, has announced the return of its Conscious Discipline Parenting series.

The course is designed to equip participants with the seven skills of conscious discipline: composure, assertiveness, encouragement, choices, empathy, positive intent and consequences.

The in-person series is held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 and Oct. 19 at St. Joseph County Intermediate School District.

Lunch is available and child care is offered for participants who register in advance.

A 10-course, e-learning session is scheduled to start in 2025.
