Indiana man injured in motorcycle crash

An Indiana man was injured after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a pickup last week in Cass County’s Porter Township.

Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday to an area of Sunset Boulevard north of Wayne Street.

Authorities said 36-year-old Bristol resident James Tran was traveling north on Sunset Boulevard where the road started to curve. Tran’s motorcycle drove over loose gravel, which caused him to lose control of the two-wheeler.

The motorcycle continued northbound while on its side and crashed into a pickup driven by Andrew White, 35, of Jones.

White was travelling south on Sunset Boulevard.

Tran was treated at Elkhart General Hospital, troopers said.
