Jeff Myers, 57

Jeffery Charles Myers, age 57, of Portage, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at his home.

He was born January 10, 1967 in Kalamazoo, the son of Larry Joe and Maryjane (Borger) Myers, and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1985.

Jeff was employed for 23 years at Goodwill Industries, where he enjoyed seeing his co-workers and all of the customers.

He enjoyed helping his Dad rebuild a car during his high school years, he liked to drive, enjoyed going on the boat with family, in younger years he liked to swim, roller skate, and sit on the porch with his Grandpa Harry and watch cars go by. His favorite thing in high school was being the manager for the football and wrestling teams.

Jeff was always there with a smile and a laugh. He made the best of any situation. He loved listening to country music, especially George Strait.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his sisters, Christine Myers and Kelly (Bryan) Sallmen; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, two great-nephews and one great-niece.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph Myers; paternal grandparents, Ruth and Harry Myers; and maternal grandparents, Mary and Carroll Borger.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 at the funeral home with Rev. Brenda Deily officiating. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.

Donations in Jeff’s memory may be directed to Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
