Orlis W. Yoder, age 72, of Mendon, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Orlis was born on February 13, 1952 in Colon, a son to the late Virgil and Magdalena (Hochstetler) Yoder.
On November 22, 1973, Orlis married his wife of 50 years, Marietta E. Lehman in Middlebury.
Surviving Orlis is his wife Marietta E. Yoder of Mendon, children: Ruth (Marvin Jr.) Yoder of Colon, Martha (Homer) Hochstetler of Burr Oak, and Stephen (Lita) Yoder of Colon, daughter in law Rosellen Yoder of Mendon, brothers: Phillip (Esther) Yoder of Burr Oak, Virgil (Esther) Yoder Jr. of Mendon, Amanda (Ervin) Hostetler of Sturgis, Marilyn (Dennis) Schlabauch of LaGrange, Gloria (Ezra) Eicher of Colon, brother-in-law Kenneth (Mary) Borkholder of Burr Oak, 12 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 1 great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Virgil and Magdalena Yoder, Orlis was preceded in death by his son Mattew Yoder, sister Carol Borkholder, and a son in law Vernon Yoder.
The Yoder family will receive friends and relatives from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2024, and from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 9, 2024. A funeral service will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Interment will follow in Old Order Amish Cemetery in Centreville. All events and funeral service will be held at the CYC Building: 59321 Nottawa Road, Centreville.
