Stewart Lynn Turpin, age 60, of Colon, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 5, 2024, at his home.
He was born December 3, 1963, son of the late Robert and Joyce) Turpin.
Stewart resided in Colon for over 10 years, coming from Coldwater.
On February 14, 1992, he married Gennieve Layne in Florida.
Stewart was currently employed by Speedrack Products Group in Quincy. Prior to joining Speedrack, he had been employed by Putnam Hitch Products in Bronson for several years.
Stewart was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Air Force for ten years, earning the rank of Sergeant.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, and throwing horseshoes.
He is survived by his wife: Gennieve; daughter: Melissa VanWormer of Colon; son: Jason VanWormer of Sherwood; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and brother: Bob (Kathy) Turpin of Canada.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Bill Turpin.
In honoring Stewart’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life and burial of the remains at Sherwood Cemetery in Sherwood will take place at a later date.
