Agreement reached between Lockport and library

Lockport Township officials and Three Rivers Public Library representatives have reached an agreement regarding library services for township residents.

According to the Three Rivers Commercial-News, Lockport Township Board voted this week to accept the library’s most recent services contract offer.

The three-year contract starts at almost $21,000 in the first year and includes 2 percent increase in the second and third years. Terms also include a stipulation that re-negotiation of the contract will occur at the conclusion of the three-year pact.

As a result of the agreement, Lockport Township residents will continue to have access to Three Rivers Public Library with a library card at no direct cost.
