Chris Harker, 48

Christopher Arnold-Long Harker, age 48, of Nottawa, died on Monday, September 23, 2024 at his home following a brief illness. He was born November 6, 1975 in Kalamazoo, a son of Brenda Long and Ralph Harker. Chris graduated from Mendon High School in 1994 where he participated in wrestling and was a member of the 1993 state championship football team. Chris worked several jobs in his early years in farming, factory work, maintenance at cemeteries, and for Pipers Grinders in Constantine. He loved to attend concerts, trips to Disney in Florida, going to the Blue Gate, working on cars and motors, and was an avid Michigan football fan.

Surviving are his wife Aimee Vantrease Harker, Nottawa, mother Brenda (Tom) Selvage, Sturgis, step mother Annie Harker, Howe, IN, step daughter Corena (Tanner) Clevenger, Nottawa, great niece and sidekick Airabella Fuller, Nottawa, sister Melissa (Mike) McCann, Centreville, step sisters Caressa (Lincoln) Thompson, Topeka, IN, Marci Cleveland, Topeka, IN, Aunt Carol (Don) Glant, Burr Oak and bad kitty Roscoe. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents Arnold and Rhea Long and Willard and Barb Harker.

Relatives and friends will be received Monday, Sept. 30, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville, where Religious services will be held at 1 pm.  Pastor Russ Stauffer  will officiate.
