Michael Allen Orban, age 57, of Sturgis, passed away Sunday evening, September 1, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born March 25, 1967 in Sturgis to Deborah Orban.
Mike was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1986.
In 1993 he married Kelly Melchi in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. They were married for 16 years and together for 25 years and remained lifelong friends.
He was employed by Twin City Farms in Lake Odessa, Michigan.
Mike enjoyed working on cars and could fix nearly anything and R/C Cars with his grandsons. He loved time spent with family, especially his grandsons.
He is survived by his daughter: Tori Orban of Sturgis; grandsons: Ashton Kidd and Colson Snyder; parents: Deborah and Don Mohney of Sturgis; grandmother: Charlene Orban of Sturgis; nephew Austin Haley; his dog: Zoey and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son: Trey Orban; grandfather: Eugene Orban and mother-in-law: Dixie Melchi.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 on Thursday, Sept. 5th at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd. in Sturgis where funeral services celebrating the life of Michael Orban will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
