Pauline Ann Smith, age 83, of Marcellus, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 24, 1941 in Sagola Township, Michigan, the daughter of Charles H. and Delpha (Beals) Plumley.
Through a connection with her father, Pauline met Delbert Smith of Marcellus; the two were married on November 22, 1956. They enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, especially Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening, and being involved at first Howardsville Gospel Chapel and later Temple Baptist Church.
Pauline was outgoing, friendly, willing to help anyone who needed help, just an all-around good person.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her sons, Ed (Jackie) Smith of Three Rivers and John Smith of Marcellus; daughter, Sally Smith of Marcellus; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; husband; daughters-in-law, Kathey Smith and Tonya Smith; one great-grandson; six brothers and sisters.
Her family will receive friends on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 55437 Wilbur Rd., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at noon at the church with Pastor Michael Harris officiating. She will be laid to rest in Bly Cemetery.
