Janice Haas, age 79, of Three Rivers, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Optalis Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born January 13, 1945 in Three Rivers, the daughter of Clifford and Marie (Sherry) Hartzell, and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1963.
Janice was a cook for many years at Happy Landing of Corey Lake, Dip n Dunk, and Paisano’s Restaurant.
On November 2, 1985, she married Cecil Haas; they shared 38 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2018.
Janice loved her TV time which included watching NASCAR races. She adored her grandchildren and was always there to attend all of their activities and events. She was very active and always made sure to keep her friends and family on their toes at all times.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Cecil; son, Andy Tessin; twin sister, Janet; brothers; Dick and Butch Hartzell.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Bill (Sarah) Tessin; daughters, Angela (Brian) Dale and Jennifer (Scott) Carter; grandchildren, Riley, Annika, Dylan, Chaz, and Cody.
In accordance with family wishes, cremation has been conducted and a celebration of life for Janice will be held at a later date.
