It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tamera Joyce (Hargett) Campbell on September 24, 2024 at the age of 49. She was born on December 2, 1974. She was an amazing and compassionate woman who lived with a purpose and fire of conviction that inspired everyone around her.
Born on 12/2/74 in Sturgis, Tami grew up with a deep sense of responsibility for helping those in need; becoming a champion for vulnerable children and families. Mimmy (to those who knew her best ) dedicated her life to the service and well-being of children, ensuring that every child she encountered was heard, protected, and given the opportunity to thrive. Her passion for child advocacy knew no bounds She was committed to being a tireless advocate for justice and an unwavering supporter of every child’s right to a brighter future.
Above all, Tami was known for their kindness, humility, and unwavering optimism. She inspired everyone around her to stand up for what was right and to always consider the needs of the most vulnerable. Tami was known for her courage, empathy, and relentless pursuit of equality. Her advocacy made a lasting impact, and her legacy will continue to inspire others to fight for justice and equality for all.
She is survived by her loving wife and soulmate, Starr Lynn Campbell and sons Orion and Kamran of Sturgis. Father, TJ Hargett of Bronson; brothers Randy (MiChelle) DeVries of Sturgis and Justin (Jessica) Hargett of Bronson. Cherished Aunt Brenda (Ron) Rowe of Sturgis whose unwavering love and support were a constant throughout her life. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Darlene (Boggs) Hargett and brother Greg McLaughlin.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
