Coldwater man arraigned on child pornography charges

A Coldwater man faces charges related to child pornography following a five-month investigation.

Branch County District Court officials said Kenneth Traver, 44, is charged with four counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material; two counts of using a computer to commit a crime; and one count of aggravated child sexually abusive activity.

Michigan State Police troopers were made aware of Traver and software containing files of child sexually abusive material in his possession.

A search warrant was executed at his home for Traver’s home and his computer was seized. Investigators allegedly found more than 49,000 pictures and nearly two dozen videos of child sex abuse.

Traver plead not guilty to the charges during his arraignment Nov. 22. Traver is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing Dec. 5.
